Ismail Samad and Yusuf Yassin created Nubian Markets to serve as a hub for the people within the Roxbury community. As an experienced zero-waste chef, Ismail hopes to give a platform to the amazing foods and flavors of the African diaspora.

Together, Ismail and Yusuf look forward to contributing to the efforts that have been long standing in Roxbury, to create a destination that is grounded in the flavors and culture of the people who have been here for generations.
